There was a web site, www.webwargaming.com, with articles related to a hex system called "Hex-parts." It appears that the site is now down, and I was wondering if any of you guys (or girls) knew of any other site that talked about this system. Here''s a really bad diagram (from what I remember) of what it looked like (with the various "hex-parts" marked), in case they''ve got it under a different name. _________________ ______ | /| B |\ | A | /| | C/ |_____| \D |_____| C/ | | /C | | D\ | B | /C | |/___| A |___\|_____|/___| |\ | | /| B |\ | | \D |_____| C/ |_____| \D | | D\ | B | /C | | D\ | |___\|_____|/___| A |___\|

I''m not sure but I think this is what you want:
http://www.gamedev.net/reference/articles/article1800.asp

It is an article that describes how to break hexagons into sections to deal with screen to array and array to screen coordinates. I hope that helps.
