Hi there everyone, I''m a noob here. I''m trying to learn game programming and have started reading a tutorial series. I''d also like to look at source codes of older games (a nice tetris, asteroids). I need clean, easy to understand, and COMPLETE coding. I tried a couple of others and they didn''t look too great or they wouldn''t even work correctly. Please, help me out, any kind of game would be cool. I''d like to break it down and try to learn from it. Thanks in advance!

Welcome aboard.

What''s likely is that most of the open source Tetris/Asteroids clones out there are not going to demonstrate good clean coding, since the majority of them are coded by newbies. You might want to check out the GD Showcase (link above), though I''m not sure how many of the entries include source.

How much programming experience do you have?

Later,
ZE.

Hey ZealousElixir (cool name btw),
I''m not too experienced. I''ve taken C and C++ (hopefully i''ll be taking C++ again during summer) because while I understand the concepts (pointers, strings, etc.), I haven''t programmed anything significant where I have thorough knowledge of such things. Oddly that tutorial gave me a headache... I hope to continue it late at night
I''ll check out what you recommended.. Thanks for replying. What experience do you have? Program any games?
