I have my wifes computer networked to my computer on a peer to peer network. My computer runs win 98 and hers ran ME. I have upgraded hers to XP. Now i can access My computer from hers ( she has the XP remember ) but i cant access hers without a password. I know what the network password is but it does not take the password. This is keeping me from accessing files on her Computer but i can access my computer just fine from hers. Anyone have any ideas? "... thats the rub...

I think you need to create a user account on her computer, with the same username and password as you have under Win98.

At least, that''s what I have to do to access my Win2K server from my Win98 system.

Yep, XP is Win2000/NT network based. So it needs to have you on it''s userlist. If you''re not on the list, you don''t get in.
