What does glPushMatrix() store? Does it store things like: glEnable(GL_DEPTH_TEST)? I want to know that if I change those sorts of settings, will it revert back to the old ones when I pop the matrix again? A reference in the red book would be great, I can''t seem to find the answer. Thanks.

glPushMatrix() only pushes the current modelview, projection or texture matrix.

To push the GL_DEPTH_TEST state bit, use glPushAttrib(GL_DEPTH_BUFFER_BIT).
