I''ve just realized that I can''t find the CodeExplorer in the Delphi6 Personal Edition (the free download) - is it missing? Or only in Professional versions? Or can I get it somewhere? Thanks Henri

I think some things are missing from the free version, and that is probably one of them. The to-do list is also not there, nor the ability to CTRL-click to jump to a function (plus, the ctrl-shift-c for class complete). I loved those features in Delphi 5, but not enough to buy a new version .

Come to think of it, I definitely remember having something similar before (as a free component) for Delphi 2 or 3. You could probably find that over at Torry's or the Delphi Super Page. I'll have a look around and see if I can find out the name of it...

EDIT: I think it was "CodeWarp" from over here, though that just lets you move around source code. I might have used something else to add functions but I can't remember...

Yep, most of this stuff is only in the Pro and Enterprise version. ToDo, most of the code explorer stuff, autocomplete, optimizing compiler, ODBC, FastNet, Data Servers, the windows api documentation (win32, opengl, etc). Thats why I still use Delphi 5 Pro for most of my coding and only use Delphi 6 Personal for compatiblity testing.

So the optimization toggle in D6 personal does nothing? Gahh... i''m going back to D3.. cost me enough

Dang... so there isn''t an "expert" program for Delphi to fix that for me?

Has a class browser and tons of other IDE enhancements, all of which I assume would work in the personal edition.
