I guess this is basically an opinion question, but here goes: Do people use DX managed textures when dealing with textures in there program, or just handle them themselves? I''m trying to decide as to wether I should just use the managed textures option, or write my own caching system. I know there are alot of game specific factors as to wich to choose, but lets just say that there will be alot of textures, and that I don''t need to write directly to them very often if at all. Plus it is added time I need to devote to writing the caching system. -Zims

Just use managed textures. They''re so much simpler.

Use managed everywhere you can.
