I''m trying to remember the name of an old Amiga 500 game I used to play. You control a cartoon-style figure with a big nose. He walks around on a flat map of tiles where each tile has a specific function: teleporter tiles, bomb tiles, do-nothing tiles, ice tiles (the figure would slide over it) and tiles that disappear after the first time you walk on them. And a few more. The tiles were brick red and surrounded by water. I think you could play the game in 2 modes: a from above 2D mode and an isometric mode. I''ve been searching a few retro game sites, but with no luck. Anyone remember this?

I have no idea what you are talking about. However, your description vaguely reminded me of an old game found in the arcades called Q-bert. I don''t think I ever played it though.
