RPG

You know, there''s much more work involved in writing an RPG than the storyline. I had some friends who wanted to make a game, but since I was the only programmer, it took a long time to even get the engine working. What I''m saying is that there is no point in even focusing on your story when you don''t have a solid foundation of graphics and code to accompany it. Your story can be the best ever written, but it means nothing if you don''t get the game written. So instead of trying to recruit people by telling them the story, it might be a better idea to write your engine first, unleash the details of its OpenGL capabilities upon everyone here at Gamedev, and then hope artists and modellers will join your cause.

Well, I hope it''s not your first game, if yes, try a 2D game before.
If you''re unsure of the result and you really love the story you''ve written, then choose 2D instead of 3D.
3D game are nice looking, but too much work is done on gfx and not enough on gameplay.

I would help and offer my services, but I don''t know OpenGL. Nor do i have any desire to make a 3D game.
