Bitmap or Truetype? You could always try something simple like a search for software to do it.

well, i dont think it matters, most will be used mainly in photoshop.. they will be pixel fonts.. any ideas?

Explain more about what kind of font/effect your looking for. There are plenty of websites that offer free gif based fonts (numbers and letters only) for use in making webpages, if you are looking for a particular effect it might already be out there (or you may be able to use a basic B&W outline font and modify it in photoshop to fit your needs)
