I''m 13 and Im starting to make my own rpg, The Prophecy. I was just wondering if there was any intrest in helping. I don''t need anyone to help right now, because I have a team that I''m working in called Megalomania. But it''s just a few kids, and it looks like once they find out how hard this will be they''ll drop out. So I came here to find out how many hardcore programmers my age would be intrested. Just wonderin''...
Hey, that sounds pretty cool. I''m working on a RPG right now aswell. Just a suggestion, check out darkbasic.com. It''s a basic like language but lets you do directx. It might help you be able to focus on the game itself more than the programming. It might help out the group your working with. If you want to share any ideas or want some help you can contact me at jonbca@hotmail.com
I''m 15, if thats ok, and I could use some details about this. Like what kind of game is it (2-d over head, 2-d isometric, 3-d, etc.) if you''re using DirectX what version, will it be a project to be marketed or free/share ware? You need to explain the details a little bit more, and more people might be interested.
I''m 14, know C++ and use OpenGL. I also model (but don''t skin). Working on an engine right now, but it''s just a little side project and more team experience is always good.
What language are you using? API? 2D or 3D? Platform? Writing a new engine or using an existing one? Any design docs?

Whoa, I figured I would only get about 2 or 3 replies. I guess there are more people my age making games as well. I have a team, but if I need more help I''ll make sure to contact ya''ll. I don''t mind if older people help, I just didn''t think they''d want to work w/ little 13 year old twirps (=. O, do any of you know how to make a game over the internet though? Ok, for those wonderin'' I''m using C++ and DirectX 8.0. I don''t want to use an existing engine, instead I want to build one for 2d overhead RPG''s. I want to make a series called The Prophecy consisting of four games. The games will be freeware. I don''t have much experience in DirectX though, however I am pretty good at C++. I have an artist for sprites right now, I don''t think that our non-coders will drop out( they have the easier jobs). However it looks like I might be the only coder soon, and that would suck. Thanx.
probly 32bit
Not colour depth, the resolution. Let me guess: 640x480. That is usually enough...

Out of interest, what difference would the resolution make?

O, sorry, yeah 640x480. Thanx JRN, we know what we''re doing, well sorta.
I am 12 and I consider myself fairly competemt for my age and level of experience(i started programming in January). I know C++ fairly well, and I am learning DirectX, mostly graphics, w/ DirectDraw, although I have just started learning DirectGraphics(dx8). If you need help, I may be able to help you with programming and other things as well(except for art, i''m not very good at that... yet). If you are intrested, please email me at kmstrong@san.rr.com.
