My name is Brian Linton. I am the lead programmer on The Starflight 3 Project which is the authorized, freeware continuation of the classic Starflight games of the mid-late 1980s (yes I did say 80s). We have a substantial amount of the game done, and I'm trying to get enough of it complete to make a solid entry into the IGF by September. I am in need of one more programmer to do this. A few things about the position: 1. You'll be programmming a 2D combat engine. If this is of no interest to you, don't apply. 2. Experienced and dedicated programmers only please. I really need someone who picks up C++ code quickly and won't leave after the first month's excitement wears off. Please send me a small sample of what you can do, with source code, when you apply. 3. It's a freeware game - nobody gets paid. 4. You must have, or be willing to get, and ICQ or AIM account. 5. I'd prefer it if you have heard of Starflight or Star Control 2 and are a big fan of such games, but it's not required. Thank You, Brian AIM: CompBriL E-mail: CompBriL@hotmail.com [edited by - linternet on June 7, 2002 3:59:25 PM]

Damnit, I don''t bite. WTF! Large space RPG well underway, continuation of an old classic = big time recognition. This isn''t tempting to anyone? I know there are tons of great programmers on this board, someone jump on the bandwagon.
