I apologize in advance if this post violates this forum''s intended use. After reading through the forum, I realized that telling you about our small business can only help the many folks looking for assistance with game development, and who, as usual, lack the ideal budget like the rest of us. I run a small business offering these game development services at very reasonable rates: Application Development for Microsoft Windows: Whether it''s a simple GUI application, version control software, graphic tools, or a competitive 3D engine, we have many years of Windows programming experience to make it happen. 2D and 3D Video Game Development for Microsoft Windows: With 15 years of game development experience, chances are we can put together what you envision, whether it''s a Tetris clone or a 3D RPG. We have significant experience in conceptual and technical design, game programming, tool development, and art content creation. We use the latest Microsoft DirectX technology and can also support Windows GDI and OpenGL if required. Graphic Design and Art Content Production: We have some of the best art skills in the industry and we''re able to apply that talent to anything from web page layouts and content to realistic 3D worlds. Conceptual and Technical Documentation: Whether you need to translate hardware functionality into layman terms or require textual content for a web page, we can help. Our small team has worked at reputable game companies such as EA. If you''re curious about how we can help, please visit our simple, popup-free site at http://www.yamisoft.com. And no, this ain''t no spam. We''ve gone from the hobby stage to working in the industry, and we''re now offering professional services based on 15 years of experience. In a way, we''re giving back to the hobbyists'' community by sharing our talent at very reasonable costs. http://www.yamisoft.com

Sounds like you do everything needed for game development, so why not just make your own games? It''s more fun, and the money is probably better

Unreal and looks like a scam :-)

Sorry. Propably you ARE real.

it would, though, be better if - offering professional services - you would also behave so.

And this means putting your contact information on your website.

This means MORE than the email.

This means full legal contact information:
(a) Name of the corporation (or individual)
(b) registration infromation of the corporation (where, when, what nr).
(c) address of your regsitered office, at least.
(d) phone and fax numbers.

Sorry - some companies do NOT consider you to be real unless you provide this information, you know. I just looked onto your wbsite and put you into my "unreal" folder because I could not even find out in which country you reside.

thona,

I'll award you your point for the address issue. I was waiting for our move before posting it but it later slipped my mind. You'll be happy to know I've listed both the company's registered and correspondance office addresses.

To answer the rest of your suggestions, the name of the corporation has always been fully displayed on every single page, along with the incorporation number and province of incorporation at the bottom. I omitted the full company name in my message as it was intended to be a simple, reader-friendly, passing, straight-to-the-point "hey, we can help by the way". The legal stuff is displayed on the pages. But, perhaps I'll post it next time. Thanks for the tip.

If you consider a company to be a scam because they don't list phone numbers, then so be it. Your "unreal" list will exclude good companies who simply prefer no phone calls or work from home without a costly dedicated line.

No harm or bitterness is intended. Please assume a generous sprinkle of smileys. As they say, it's all good.

It''s strange that no matter how people try to be polite on this board, the common replies are often rather insulting, accusatory, unconstructive, or off-topic. Based on your prior posts, I suggest you break that habit and try to be a little less judgmental and offer more constructive criticism. It would sure help make this forum more inviting and less intimidating, from what I''ve read so far.

Their business looks fine to me and I think can be a great advantage to anyone looking for serious help. Why would anyone try to "scam" you in offering game services? Would you rather hire someone who''s apparently gone through the trouble of establishing a legal specialized business and web presence, or someone spending their time playing Devil''s advocate in the forum? I choose the former, and not for religious reasons.

Ah yeah, it''s YOU! I was wondering how I was going to get back in contact with you. I spoke with you through rent-a-coder. I''m in BC now so I will be getting back to you on that project, there still are a few issues to take care of.

thanx

Talk about living in a small world! I don''t use rent-a-coder anymore due to their high commissions. Feel free to email me once you''re setup.
