Character concept needed for 3D Modeling & Animation Book
I am currently in search of concept artists capable of delivering conceptual character design drawings for use in a book about 3D modeling and animation for television and film. Needs would be as follows:
numerous rough intial sketches and designs.
semi-detailed pen & ink of side, front, back. (neutral pose) these sketches must line up perfectly when placed side by side. (for 3d modeling purposes).
1 3/4 view pen & ink drawing (neutral pose)
2 3/4 view pen & ink drawing (dynamic poses)
1 3/4 view colored (dynamic pose)
detailed pen & ink drawings of character details such as head, claws, feet, wings. (neutral pose)
1 full fledged painting (to be negotiated separately)
If the character has clothing or armor, separate sketches should show underlying anatomy (add armor/clothing in separate photoshop layers).
If you currently have a design I would be eager to see it but I am partial to a dragon-like creature which walks on its hind legs and wears some sort of decorative armor. (see TSR''s Dragonlance series). This character setup would be quite difficult to model, texture and animate and that''s what I need to outline in my book. (who needs easy tutorials anyway, I''ve always learned more from more difficult ones).
please send me just a few SMALL samples in med quality, no larger than 640x480 in JPEG format of your best work to jeffrey_ian_wilson@hotmail.com
After an pre-agreed upon estimate of work, payment would include a 25% advance, another 25% at midway point and the final 50% upon delivery of high resolution drawings on CDROM.
Thanks,
Jeffrey Wilson
