I''m having a problem with my camera/mouse implementation. It''s a bit wierd, so bear with me.
When i move my mouse left and right everything is fine, but when i move it up and down the ammount i can move it reduces with each oscillation. This then causes the speed at which my camera moves. Strange stuff!
I''m using time based movement, and this is how i''m getting the mouse movement.
int dx = 0;
int dy = 0;
CApplication::GetSingleton().m_input->getMouseMovement(dx, dy);
void CMouse::GetMovement(int &dx, int &dy){
dx = m_state.lX;
dy = m_state.lY;
}
and finally
bool CMouse::Update(){
if(FAILED(m_pDIDev->GetDeviceState(sizeof(DIMOUSESTATE), &m_state))){
if(FAILED(m_pDIDev->Acquire())){
return false;
}
if(FAILED(m_pDIDev->GetDeviceState(sizeof(DIMOUSESTATE), &m_state))){
return false;
}
}
return true;
}
sorry its a bit of mess..!
Any ideas? Should i not use direct input for the mouse?
thanks
