About
Iโm an indie developer currently building HashForge, a browser-based mining and arcade game focused on progression, virtual hardware, mining power, missions, events, and short arcade-style gameplay.
HashForge started as a relatively simple browser-game idea and has gradually grown into a much larger project with around 20 arcade games, virtual mining rooms, hardware upgrades, multiple currencies, progression systems, missions, events, and an exchange system.
My main focus is creating gameplay that gives players a reason to actively play instead of simply watching numbers increase.
Current Project
HashForge
HashForge combines arcade gameplay with a persistent virtual mining setup.
Players can:
โข Start with a free virtual miner
โข Play arcade games to increase mining power
โข Upgrade and install virtual mining hardware
โข Expand their mining setup
โข Distribute mining power between different virtual currencies
โข Complete missions and participate in events
โข Build their progression over multiple sessions
HashForge is a browser game and mining simulation, not traditional cryptocurrency mining.
The game runs directly in the browser without requiring a download.
What Iโm Currently Working On
My current development focus includes:
โข Game balancing
โข Player progression
โข Early-game experience
โข Player retention
โข Browser-game UX
โข Arcade-game mechanics
โข Reward systems
โข Virtual economies
โข Mining-power balancing
โข Hardware progression
โข Missions and events
โข Mobile compatibility
โข UI/UX improvements
โข Performance optimization
One of the biggest challenges Iโm working on is finding the right balance between active gameplay and long-term progression.
I want players to feel that playing actually matters, while still giving them something meaningful to build over time.
Development Interests
Iโm especially interested in:
Indie Game Development
Building games independently and improving them through real player feedback.
Browser Games
I like the accessibility of games that can be opened and played immediately without installing a launcher or large client.
Game Design
Especially progression loops, reward systems, balancing and player motivation.
Game Economy Design
Creating upgrade systems where progression feels rewarding without destroying the long-term economy.
Player Retention
Understanding what makes someone return to a game tomorrow instead of playing once and leaving.
Arcade Games
Short, easy-to-understand gameplay loops that still reward skill and improvement.
What Iโm Looking For Here
I joined GameDev.net to connect with other developers, share development experiences and get useful feedback.
Iโm particularly interested in discussing:
โข Game balancing
โข Browser-game development
โข Progression systems
โข Player retention
โข UI/UX
โข Indie development
โข Game economies
โข Monetization without destroying gameplay
โข Improving existing mechanics instead of endlessly adding features
Constructive criticism is always welcome.
If something in one of my projects doesnโt work, I would much rather know why than simply hear that everything looks good.

Iโm actively developing the game and regularly improving gameplay, balancing, progression and the overall experience based on testing and player feedback.
