I don't want use billboarding, because I wat stick my camera into tail ;). Where can I find good tutorial about particles (dx8 or dx9).

Where can I find Video Mixing Renderer samples (source)? I've looked it in DXSDK, but I haven't found anything (there aren't dxshow samples in dxsdk octaber update for c++)

I want check if my object is visible on my viewport. I.e, if my camera looks at object, my function returns true etc.

How can I make screen brighter? I have light on scene. When user is looking on it (light), the screen (view) should be brighter. How could I make this? Thx.
