Play More Ubisoft Games on PC: New Content Now Available for XBOX on PC, Plus Free PC Redemption

Ubisoft and Xbox are pushing a broader cross-platform ownership model for select Ubisoft titles. The Xbox on PC app is getting premium editions and chosen add-on content for a wide spread of games, including Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Star Wars Outlaws, Rainbow Six Siege, Skull and Bones, and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, plus entries across Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, The Crew, and Watch Dogs.

The bigger practical change is the console-to-PC entitlement. If you own the digital Xbox console version of one of the listed games, you can now access the PC version through Ubisoft Connect at no additional cost. New purchases of those titles on digital Xbox also include both the console and PC versions immediately, while existing owners are being granted the PC copy in a progressive rollout that runs until August 4.

For developers, this is another sign that platform boundaries are getting softer around ownership, entitlements, and launcher integration. Ubisoft Connect has to surface the correct edition, DLC, and cross-progression state cleanly, while the Xbox and Ubisoft account layers stay in sync across storefronts and devices.

There are still limits: consumables and in-game currency are excluded from the add-on transfer, and the free PC claim does not work in reverse for PC owners. For teams shipping live games or premium editions, the interesting part is less the marketing and more the entitlement plumbing, especially where season passes, DLC ownership, and cross-progression need to line up without confusing players.
