XBox Wire says Outright Games and Hasbro are packing Clue Junior, Monopoly Junior, and The Game of Life Junior into Hasbro Games Junior Collection, due later this year on Xbox. The pitch is straightforward: translate familiar family board-game loops into a digital package that still feels like game night, not a heavy rules lesson.

Clue Junior is the most interesting piece for devs. Outright Games is aiming for an accessible mystery flow where players move through rooms, uncover clues, cross off suspects in a detective notebook, and eventually make an accusation. The design leans on clarity and social play, including a “no peeking” note-taking moment that preserves the table-game tension in a video-game format.

There’s also light progression layered on top of the board-game structure. Players can track stats, level up, and unlock new items and cosmetics as they keep playing, which gives the collection some retention hooks beyond a single solve. Local multiplayer supports up to four players on one console, so the game is clearly built around shared couch sessions rather than online competition.

For developers, the interesting takeaway is how much of the original board-game fantasy can be preserved while simplifying the interaction model for younger players. The challenge here is balancing readability, pacing, and replayability without turning a deduction game into busywork.
