A Colossal Update and Two DLCs Come to Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles
XBox Wire says Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles has received its largest Xbox update to date, bringing the console build in line with the PC version. Solo developer Tomas Sala is also shipping two DLC packs at the same time: Verne Bannerless and Medieval Houses.
The headline feature for builders is more flexible construction. Curved walls now work without restrictions on type, length, or angle, while Arbology towers can restore trees to settlements after the world’s long-running ecological damage. The update also adds upgradable surveyors, including the new Behemoth, a heavily armed sky unit that expands the game’s scouting and combat options.
Combat and logistics get a broader rework too. Players can now sail any ship on an owned trade route, enemy forces behave more dynamically, and fortresses may blockade trade routes. New escort formations let players choose between focused targeting and looser autonomous behavior, which should matter for anyone trying to manage larger fleets.
The DLCs are straightforward content drops: Medieval Houses adds six timber-clad building pieces for a more classic fantasy look, while Verne Bannerless adds three aggressive units — the Bannerless Corsair warbird, Verne Missile ship, and Piranha Fast airship. For developers, the interesting part is how much of this update is driven by player feedback and how far the game has evolved since launch.
