RigPAPR: Rig-Based Animation of Static Neural Point Clouds from a Fixed-Viewpoint Video

RigPAPR tackles a common failure mode in neural character animation: joint-boundary artifacts when Gaussian splats are driven by rigid skinning. The paper claims a static PAPR point cloud can be auto-rigged from a single fixed-view video and re-posed without mesh proxies or pose-dependent correction. On synthetic subjects it reportedly matches the best baseline at the source view and improves novel-view PSNR by 3+ dB.
