Provable Pruning for Efficient 3D Gaussian Splatting via Coresets

A new 3D Gaussian Splatting pruning method uses coreset theory to cut scenes down with provable guarantees instead of pure heuristics. The big practical angle is aggressive compression for deployment on limited hardware, especially when there’s little or no time for post-prune finetuning. That could make 3DGS easier to ship in real-time pipelines.
