On the Performance and Implementation of Parallax free Video See-Through Displays

A new parallax-corrected video see-through display pipeline aims to make transparent overlays behave more like a stable HUD than a warped camera feed. The setup uses two cameras and a display to estimate user-to-scene geometry, then compensates for parallax with a planar scene model. The work is especially relevant to driver-assistance and other mixed-reality interfaces.
