SubtleTalk: Generating Controllable Weakly-correlated Facial Dynamics for 3D Talking Heads via Residual Flow Matching

SubtleTalk tackles a long-standing problem in audio-driven 3D talking heads: believable motion above the mouth. The system adds controllable eyebrow, blink, head, and affect cues on top of lip sync using residual flow matching. It also ships with a new dataset of about 3,900 identities and 74 hours of facial animation data.
