Grid-Free Monte Carlo for Time-Dependent Diffusion

Researchers have extended grid-free Monte Carlo diffusion solvers to transient heat equations, removing the need for volumetric meshing and time stepping. The method targets time-dependent diffusion with initial conditions plus time-varying sources and boundaries, and can estimate any requested time directly. For graphics and simulation work, that means less discretization bias and more flexible evaluation.
