Faraday Blues: Rewrite Your Family’s Fate Across Three Shattered Realities

Briefing

XBox Wire says Faraday Blues is headed to Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Xbox Cloud in 2027, with a premise built around rewriting a family’s fate through card-driven narrative play. You control Lina, who uses a tabletop of character, memory, and item cards to alter conversations, events, and relationships across time.

The core hook is that the game spans three interconnected visual novels set in different eras of the Faraday family. Choices in one era propagate into the next, so relationship states, memories, and even character transformations can persist and reshape later scenes. That makes the structure especially relevant to narrative designers and systems-minded developers: it’s not just branching dialogue, but a stateful timeline with cascading consequences.

The deck uses 52 cards, and the team says characters can move toward Order or Entropy, change suits, and transform in ways that affect future possibilities. Because people can only be in one place at a time, every intervention has opportunity cost, which creates the kind of tradeoff-heavy design that can produce strong replay value without relying on simple good/bad choices.

Serenity Forge founder and game director Zhenghua Yang is leading the project with co-creator and lead artist Satchely, narrative director Kevin Ye, composer Kris Wilson, and voice actor Nichole Goodnight among the announced collaborators. The game promises 64 endings, most of them tragic rather than clean victories, and is already wishlistable ahead of its 2027 release.
