My name is Charles Martin, and this blog serves as a place to share my work, ideas, progress, and experiences in software engineering, game engine development, artificial intelligence, and high-performance C++ programming.
I am the creator of the Scrut.Hut Homebrew Game Engine, well engineered engine designed oriented around dynamic systems, multi-threaded execution, dynamic extensibility, and performance-oriented design. I have a strong interest in artificial intelligence and how intelligent systems can be applied to games, simulations, automation, and software architecture. As AI continues to evolve, I believe it's integration with game technology will create new opportunities for both developers.
Much of my development work is centered around modern C++, systems programming, concurrency, task scheduling, event-driven architectures, memory management, and scalable software design. I enjoy exploring complex engineering problems and finding practical solutions that balance flexibility, maintainability, and performance oriented.
This blog will include:
Progress updates on the Scrut.Hut Homebrew Game Engine
Discussions about game engine architecture and design
Artificial intelligence concepts and implementation ideas
Parallel computing programming techniques in C++
Software engineering insights and development experiences
Tool development and workflow automation
Technical challenges, solutions, and lessons learned
Whether you are a fellow engine developer, an AI enthusiast, a systems programmer, or simply someone interested in how large software projects are built, I hope you find something useful here.
Thank you for visiting and I look forward to sharing my work.
