GTA Roleplay (FiveM) Framework Project

FiveM Roleplay is aimed at all players looking for a more realistic gaming experience, with big communities and their own stories. It is not without reason that twitch streams are booming, in which players embark on this challenging "role-playing game" for their spectators. We had the pleasure of meeting the Roleplay server operator and asking what it's like to play a GTA Roleplay City instead of playing it yourself.

FiveM - Realism junkies

Michél races through his city with us, he transfers the game over Skype for us. At first glance, it looks a bit like GTA Online, but the differences are obvious - especially that there are no NPCs. A conscious decision, as Michél says, to start the server, the players would have taken away the cars. In the normal game that is allowed, but this is another game - with different rules. In reality, that would not be so easy.

We drive past players who embody police officers and wait in their patrol car for missions. At auto mechanics styling sledges. And at armed groups, standing together and whispering softly. In a side street, Michél checks for a moment if anyone is looking, and then he drops his car through the ground and flies under the map. Realism has the highest priority. While hiding his interventions in the game, his own language is spoken while playing. There are no Buckler, there is a headache. Nothing is inserted into the game, the mayor has decided something.

The FiveM community is difficult to steal from other servers. That's why you choose the team members carefully. After all, it's about sensitive data that could jeopardize the entire project in the wrong hands. "It's about trust." This also applies to the players who can not just come to, but must first be included in a whitelist. For a test is required.

There is only one mission: use your imagination

On Roleplay you have to get involved, the genre has many gradations, depending on the level of reality on a server is required. Softplay does not have to react realistically to every event, while in Hardcore every car crash is accompanied by an accident scenario. In his case, there is a middle ground. Prerequisites are to be socially open with people and patience. It does not always happen at any time something, it was about the pure feeling of play.

Even though his server does not have the typical amok scenarios as in normal GTA online lobbies, the stories that take place here are nevertheless geared for action. He makes sure that it is realistic and yet does not go too far. "It may also be said the evil N-word, if it fits the gangster story." To go too far should not. Realistic stories, no insults. Sexism is just as little tolerated.

While players in the original GTA Online scout the casino, soon opens a casino in Quick Life. A Halloween event, a Battle Royale and an Advent calendar are also in the pipeline. When it comes to future wishes Michél is rather modest.

"I would be happy if a lot of trifles work soon, that's not going to bug things all the time. And I want to install that drunk can stagger. Or that players can do peaceful things, like picking apples. "

But his biggest wish comes to him then. "A Roleplay game of its own, designed only for that purpose." To provide him with the base that he can adapt and expand at will.
