About This Project

Today is a day just like the ones that came before but today is not like the ones that came before. Today is a special day, today is a day of testing and testing shall be this day. The room is a vessel of experimentation. It's isolated and efficient in such a way that testing can get done. If you're ready then let's begin.

In Codename: Room, players are placed into a single room covered in nothing but gray tiles. From there, a mysterious voice will come in and give you the rundown. You, as the player, will go through a series of challenges that will involve both platforming and puzzle-solving skills. As you go through these challenges, the mysterious voice will be judging your performance and determine if you've done a good job or a terrible job. This game has multiple endings that will be determined based on the actions of the player.

The game was first put up on Itch.io back in October of 2019. Since then, I've decided to expand this game into something much larger and I've now re-released the original version as a brief demo for this new expanded version. Each run of the demo takes about 10 minutes to complete and a run in the full version will take about an hour. While this demo is similar to the 2019 version, I've added a few “special” things that will tease the full version. You can download the demo right there.
