Facilities is a multiplayer simulation game about building, operating, and maintaining complex facilities.
Players work together to keep a facility running. Power, water, logistics, machinery, maintenance, security, and other systems are interconnected - meaning that a problem in one part of the facility can quickly become a problem somewhere else.
Rather than simply managing everything through menus, players physically interact with the facility and its systems. One player might be repairing a machine, another managing operations, while another is responsible for keeping essential infrastructure running.
The goal is to create a world where the facility itself becomes the gameplay.
Core Concept
Facilities is built around systemic gameplay and player cooperation. The exact type of facility can vary, allowing the project to explore different environments and challenges while keeping the same underlying philosophy.
A successful facility isn't simply one with the highest numbers - it's one that players can actually keep functioning.
Current Development
The project is currently in the experimental stage. I am developing the concept, exploring the core systems, and looking for people who are interested in helping turn the idea into a playable game.
The current planned engine is Unreal Engine 5.
