I'm Jamie McNicol, Creative Director of Golden Goose Productions, developing Divine Intervention, a satirical, narrative-rich survival RPG set in a glitch-riddled simulation of modernised Greece.
Imagine Greek mythology colliding with a broken divine operating system. Players navigate everyday life under indifferent gods, balancing work, survival, prayer and relationships while Olympus destabilises reality through absurd interventions and system-wide patch notes.
I'm looking for a technical co-founder to help turn this project into a commercially viable game and build the studio alongside me.
The role:
Lead technical development and help select the appropriate engine and architecture.
Assess the vertical-slice scope and establish a realistic production plan.
Develop core gameplay systems and coordinate technical integration of 3D assets and UI.
Help shape technical strategy, recruitment and future production as the studio grows.
Who I'm looking for: Someone with practical game-development experience, a portfolio of playable work, sound technical judgement and an interest in building an indie studio. Experience with 3D RPGs, gameplay systems or Unreal Engine/Unity would be valuable.
The arrangement: This is an early-stage co-founder opportunity. There is currently no guaranteed salary, and prototype funding has not been secured. The intended route is to pursue development funding, publisher interest and crowdfunding to finance the vertical slice and subsequent production.
Equity, responsibilities, intellectual property, decision-making and arrangements if funding is unsuccessful would need to be discussed and agreed formally before development begins.
If you're interested, please share your portfolio, relevant projects, preferred engine and what you're looking for in a co-founder relationship.
I'd be happy to discuss the game, the existing documentation and the long-term vision.
