Hello, World! Maven Builds here and back with news and updates on Harvest Fall, our cozy farming sim.
So, funnily enough, I didn’t get to work on the player’s walking animation, but I did get to work on some collision, the player’s front yard (which I made a forum post about), and the health bar.
I drew a few bushes, rocks, withering strands of grass, and if you squint just a teensy bit, then you can see some specks on the ground. I drew those too to improve visuals.
Then we have the health bar that I talked about. I went for the classic 5 sets of hearts, but it changes to a different color depending on which frame it’s on.
I’ve added some ambient piano and strings to play as background music for the game, too.

I may work on improving the UI in the Main Menu. I’ll begin work on the walking animation. I’m new to GDevelop so I’m using the documentation to help me out.
I’ll also show more artwork for crops in the next devlog and I’d like to remind everyone that when Harvest Fall has a playable version, you'll be able to play a free early access version/beta/alpha on Itch.io. Well, that’s it for this blog. Thanks for reading, as always! Stay alert for the next devlog and catch you later…
