I was wondering if I posted this here or at Isometric Land, but since this engine is done in OpenGL, I decided to post here. Oh well. So, I''m doing an isometric engine, and I have a problem: I realized that the bottom of the map (0,0 coords) are at the bottom, so I changed the code to make it look more like ortho projection (0,0 is the top). Seems like doing it the second way requires more work, I do like better this way, but.. is it worth? ¬NeWX

If I am reading you right, your maps have coordinates with (0,0) at the bottom, but your projection matrix is set up with (0,0) at the top. Rather than changing the map format, you can simply change the order of the 3rd and 4th paramter of glOrtho().

Well, I''m not using glOrtho.
Thanks anyway, heheh.

i prefer the (0,0) at the bottom left it is standard with maths + with 3d graphics but if u want to have 0,0 at the topleft its very easy
glOrtho2D(0,width,0,height) swap the last 2 numbers around
