I believe there should be a Visual Basic Game Programming section of the board. Shinryuu64 Solenoid Software Interactive http://solenoid.50megs.com shinryu64@kiss-my.as

No there shouldn''t, you don''t see a c/c++ section.

but that''s because c++ is the default, so it would kind of make sense to have a vb section

Except most VB problems are the same as programming in any language. (Other than that whole no pointer thing.) Most problems are solved either by calling the right function in the Win32 API, in which case it belongs in general programming or by calling DirectX functions in which case it belongs in the DirectX forums.

Of course there is no C++ programming section! Almost everything is in C++, and it is not needed. In a sense, EVERY section is a C++ section. Making one would be redundant. There should be ONE section where VB Programmers can talk about some VB programming techniques and problems.

Why? DX is DX is DX. And most of the VB users are gonna have questions about that and not VB. For VB questions most ppl go to the egroups vbusers, the newsgroups and/or a site dedicated to just VB questions.

I feel this board caters to the graphic's programmer, and not the code base from which they program. If that were the case, what about a Delphi forum and an Assembler forum and ... ad nausea. Just silly.
