Well for me it brings some joy into my life. I don''t know why but finding even simple solutions makes me feel good about myself. Like knowing the answer makes me a better person or something. However, it can become overwhlemming when I just can''t understand why things don''t work like I expected them to. Recently, I have been learning the basics of WIN32 and DirectX 7 and have discovered that I only know a little of what I feel I should know about programming in general. So, now I''m gonna take a few steps back and think about good problem solving skills and such. How does programming make you feel?

I can''t say that it brings me joy. It used to bring me good doses of satisfaction at acheiving something interesting. And sometimes, I''d get really excited about making something work.

The honeymoon period of coding lasted a good long time for me. These days though, I wouldn''t qualify coding as bringing me joy.

For me it brings relaxation and fun. I also get the know adrenaline rush if I make something to work that is hard to do(in my eyes). I also enjoy coding stuff. I dunno for long this will last but I enjoy as long as I can.

Due to recent events in my life, my interest in programming had deminished to almost nothing. And then came a project Idea for work and I started coding again. Using the code that was given to me, I had to program some add-ons and make it into a Novell Portal System module which has been quite an experience. As for making me feel good, it never did. I code because I like it. The project I''m working on at the moment is a small games for kids 5 and up, which my baby cousin will be able to play when he reaches 5. Michalson would be proud, the main caracter for the game is my cat( that''s right, I had him drawn by a friend. He''s wearing a wizard''s hat ). That''s the only part that brings me a sort of joy, having my cat looking at the screen to see the picture of himself, and the one of his "step mother" and then sitting on my computer table to supervise me( and he really does it ).
