I''ve loaded my x file great, but when it comes to rendering, it renders it totally white. The file is the car that comes with the SDK. Any suggestions? The past was unknown, the future was predicted.

Ok, well this is my (simple) loading and showing code: Note: It''s only simple because I wanted to be able to do that much before I did other stuff:

CD3DFile XFile;
XFile->Load("Car.x");

lpDevice->StartScene(...);
XFile->Render(...);
lpDevice->EndScene();
lpDDSPrimary->Flip();

What or how do you set the materials or stuff?

There is an example in the DirectX SDK. It is the 6th tutorial. This tutorial goes through loading the mesh with the materials and textures and how to display it.
