what the hell are you all babling about?

Save Ferris is a band(ska, was it?) that came out a few years back, the name of the band is referring to the movie Ferris Bueller''s Day Off, a wonderful movie celebrated by any child of the 80''s. Its that movie we''ve been quoting.

FBDO was filmed at my High School during October of my Sr. year. I could have been in the movie and made $50 but I went to work, checked out people''s groceries and made $25. Some of the car scenes in neighborhoods were filmed a block or 2 from my house. I know so many of the extras in the school scenes, it''s funny. (btw, John Hughes went to my HS when he was a kid)

Oh yeah? Well, my high school band director marched in the band that was right behind Ferris'' float in the parade!

They were doing some of the filming during homecoming week and, being an alum, John Hughes spoke at our homecoming assembly. He was in head to toe denim... I mean EVERYTHING. It was funny when he got up to the mic, (with his denim shades), looked around for a few seconds and said... "Wow. Never thought I would be up HERE." Then, after looking around a few seconds more, he pointed to one of the teachers sitting down toward the front... one who had been teaching there quite a while... and said "Hey... I remember you. Heh. Guess you were wrong, huh?"

It was so obvious that it was said in response to some long ago accusation of "You''ll never amount to anything" or something to that effect.
