Just thought I''d share this little thingie with you guys... I was building my current demo project today, and decided to do a dummy profile run, just for the hell of it. It turns out that 25% (!!!!) of execution time was going into a function that I didn''t even know was being called for every frame! ONE line of code added, and now that very same function doesn''t even show up in the top 10 of execution times. DUH! And here I was thinking my algorithms just sucked. ( It was a viewport-activating function, that RE-activated the same viewport every frame... now it remembers the previous viewport, and if it''s the same it doesn''t reactivate ) #pragma DWIM // Do What I Mean! ~ Mad Keith ~ **I use Software Mode**
It's only funny 'till someone gets hurt. And then it's just hilarious.Unless it's you.
