[java] javax is unfindable

Hi all, i''m using VisualJ++6.0 to build a console application. But when i use the class JFrame, the program fails to run saying that a class(javax i presume) is unfindable. How can i solve this problem?

So where can i download it? I mean a (GUI)java compiler.

Here you can find both Sun''s latest JDK (1.4.1) and if you want a graphical development environment to go with it you should download the files below the section: SunTM ONE Studio 4 update 1, Community Edition - J2SETM 1.4.1 Cobundle

Personally, I just tend to download the JDK and get my graphical development environment from Eclipse.

About "Eclipse".

I failed to run any program, it seems very different to Visual J.
So PLZ how do you get your program to run inside Eclpise?

BTW: I read the help files but i didn''t find any helpful information.

A short question about eclips : whats the difference between SWT en Swing : It sounds to me that they make it only more complicated ?

I just downloaded "Sun ONE Studio 4" from www.sun.com , it's REALLY easy to use, i think it's what i was looking for.

SWT uses native GUI widgets whenever it can, while Swing only gets a window context from the underlying OS and does all the painting itself. This is why Swing looks and performs like a dog.

Sun really needs to do something about Swing. But Swing does allow you to write your own look and feel, so it doesn''t necessarily look like crap, but it sure runs like it.
