I''m currently translating parts of a game to chinese and I''m using Unicode for this. The problem is that Windows 9x doesn''t support Unicode so I''m trying out MSLU (Microsoft Layer For Unicode) for the first time. Anyone out there who has used it before who can help me out? As I''ve understood from MSDN, you have to link the unicows.lib first of all libs. You also use the /NODEFAULT switch for all other libs before that, right? Can anyone clearify this, because I''m not sure what I''m doing. The thing is that there is only a part of the game that supports unicode, that part is a dll that is used by the main executable. Is it the dll that should link with unicows.lib or is it the exe? The problem I''m having right now is that the game seems to work, it shows the correct screen with chinese text for about half a second, then it bluescreens. I''m running the game under Windows 98 Chinese but the problem is most likely the same for all versions of Windows 9x.
