I basically want to draw a projectile from point A to point B with the simple trajectory physics that goes along with it in 3D. I''ve done this before but mostly for gravity pulling on objects. One thing I''ve always wondered about gravity in physics simulations/games....is gravity 9.801 or is it a number we tweak until it looks right, or is it a mixture of both???

Whatever works for you. Start with 9.8 (or 10, close enough so you won''t notice the difference) and see if it works for you. If not try increasing or decreasing it to get the effect you want. As long as it''s consistent and playable you can get away with quite dramatic variations in the laws of physics in a game.
