Anyone see it? Pretty scary for a PG-13 movie ehh? How would you compare it to any recent "scary movies" like ...The Ring?

And so, the evil religion thread stole the wonderful "What the Heck?" thread's throne. Truly a sad day for gamedev.

That movie did not suck. I think it was pretty freaky for a movie about the toothfairy. The Ring was really not nearly as scary as this movie.

Although, this movie didn''t make me scared. It just made me really excited.

That''s something I must of missed. I remember at the beginning about the kid waiting for the toothfairy and what was shown at the end, but what does that have to do with anything? Was it in the foreshadowing at the beginning? Did the narrative mention something about teeth I missed?

BTW - it wasn''t a bad movie, at least not any worse than The Ring. I just picked up Ringu - I''m hoping it is a little better than The Ring.

I don''t know how the toothfairy relates, but it was a cool movie. That''s all that matters

no, go see casablanca.

apples and oranges my friend. you cant compare the two. if you dont like horror movies or whatever, then you shouldnt be replying to this thread.

jim: i thought the ring was pretty good actually, although i saw it the week before it came out at a sneak preview, and had heard nothing about it beforehand (so it was a pleasant suprise)

I almost jumped right into my gf''s seat during the movie''s intro... god it freaked me out.

And the lady was the tooth fairy, all the kids used to go to her to give them their teeth (forgot how the "tradition" got started), and the lady gave the kids a gold coin. Then kids started disappearing, the lady was blamed, and was killed... The kids turned up after the burning of the lady, safe and sound... So the "tooth fairy" got mighty pissed.

Thats the story of how the tooth fairy got started, but she served no real relevance to the story being a "tooth fairy..." Just a plot starter I guess.

DEFINITELY SEE BOWLING FOR COLOMBINE. It''s excellent.

Darkness Falls wasn''t scary, and relied on silly and (now comatose) fright tactics.

I'm sure thats a great movie as well...
Just wondering though...at what point did you see any comparisons being made?

I was simply commenting on a movie i found intersting, or not..at no point did i "compare" the two films.

Thnx for the suggestion, but I'll decide wether I should comment or shouldn't, and where/when I choose post msgs. I also recommend you visit this site:

Bowling for Columbine isn''t even a movie, but more a documentary that''s the length of a movie.

I''m not going to go to a freakin'' theatre to see a documentary.. i''ll wait until it''s on HBO at 3am and watch it for free..

It''s not like your missing anything by NOT seeing the conspiracies on the big screen in THX Digital..

When i go to see a movie, i go to be entertained.. that''s it.. end of story.

My god guys, you aren''t going to get much play taking your date to Bowling for Columbine... If you want to die a virgin, that''s the first step you should take.

Have you even SEEN the movie? You seem to be judging its entertainment value, yet you haven''t seen it.

And here I was thinking you were one of the smart forumites. There are no conspiracy theories in the movie! It makes valid points all the way through, and nothing of it says anything "conspiracy" like.

But you are right when you say that you pretty much will die a virgin if you took your date to see it.

I'm not even going to argue the fact that your judgement is based on absolutely no factual proof. As for dieing a virgin, I think you are more likely to do that, if you take girls to see movies like Darkness Falls. It is about as entertaining as watching a golf documentary(no offence to golfers). If your date isn't intellectualy developed enough to appritiate this type of art then a) go find some one who doesn't live in a trailer park or b) stop dating fourteen yearolds. Oh and by the way, be fucking original, you don't need to go see a movie on a date, in order to get laid.
