Does anyone like Visual Studio .NET? Is it more preferable than Visual Studio 6.0?
Programming is easy, thinking is hard.

I hate it with a passion, but then I am not used to it. I do like the code block wrapping, I''ve been after something like that for ages. But I find it really difficult to do anything and it''s very very slow.

I''m on the opposite side here. I love the new unified IDE. No more shitty VB IDE and the code editor is quite good. Intellisense works much better than in VC6. There are a few problems though. Yes it is slower than the VC6 debugger and it tends to crash occassionally in the debugger when working with multiple threads. Overall though I really enjoy the new product (and love the .NET Framework.)

I can''t wait until they add generics to C#...mmm mmm mmm.

I like VS .NET much more than VS6. Major improvements over VS 6.

The object browser rules.

I've had a total of ONE problem with VS.NET: Occasionally (only on my system have I ever seen it happen), Intellisense will accidentally list the members from a different class, fixable only be deleting the .suo "solution user options" file.

C# definately gets the Chef Boyardee seal of "MMM MMM good".

BTW -- Templates have never worked right in C++, so I decided to never use them. Problem solved

:o

Anyway, VS.NET rocks me. Sometimes the intellisense gimps up, but it''s the exception, not the rule.

By the by, the intellisense picks up overloaded operator ->s on smart pointers. Very slick. :D

I''m hip because I say "M$" instead of "MS".
