Real player

Why do you even have Real player? Furthermore, what do you possibly need that is in Real media format that you can''t find in another, better, format?

people still use Real Player?

Point taken. It''s all academic now anyway as I uninstalled it because it annoyed me that much.

Unfortunately, some sites still use Real Player formats for streaming video and audio. It is stupid, since Windows Media Player and Quicktime both do the job just as well.

Yes, you can get most of the stuff elsewhere, but it is easier to click on a link and get it streaming, rather than hoping on a P2P network, or searching for a site with a better format.

What I hate is that some idiots only release things in Real Player. What the hell were they thinking?

in the apps folder.

It''s the best version before RealPlayer went to crap.

Agreed.

I''ve always despised real player, and I hate it more with every new release. It''s never any use but to watch RM only files, and to do that you have to let it push you around. I hate software that does that.
