WTF?
Ok, this is what happened:
Computer A: (Windows XP)
File Name: something.txt
-> Put file on disk, transfer to:
Computer B: (Windows XP)
File Name: SOMETHING.TXT
Computer C: (Windows 98)
File Name: something.txt
Computer D: (RH 7.2)
File Name: something.txt
If you didn''t understand what I just wrote, this is what happened: On a Windows XP machine I made a file called something.txt (notice all lower-case). Now, I put this file onto a floppy disk. Next, I pop the disk into another Windows XP machine and behold, SOMETHING.TXT (notice all capitol letters). Then I look at Windows 98 to see if it does...and yet something.txt is all lower-case, just as it was written. Same with Linux RH 7.2.
I asked Microsoft, they didn''t have anything about it. I asked several other ''computer experts'' and they didn''t know either.
