Help! Need autoupdater code

Hello! I am finishing work on a project, and I would like it to auto update new patches for the server. This is like what Warcraft 3 does with battle.net etc. Does anyone have any links to any open source applications that do this? Let me get this right.

You have a server.
You want this server to connect to another server to download patches by itself.

Right?

Well, in that case...look into FTP

You would just simply add an FTP client to your server, which in turn connects to an FTP server to download pathces.
