I think thats title of the book.....its in the Game Developement Series. Anyway,has anyone read this book? Is it anygood? Whats your opinion?

Hehe, I''m not new, so I can tell you from experience. Windows Game Programming Bla Bla is a horrible book. Out of date, and some of the code is buggy.
Stick to online tutorials (here on gamedev.net or www.drunkeyhyena.com), the SDK (which has some very good tutorials), or engines which supply tutorials if you are interested in making games, but don''t want to mess with DX much.
If you want to make 2D games, you can reach me on AOL Instant Messenger. Screen name''s ArmySarj. I''ve written my own engine, with nice tutorials. I can help you get started with that, or I can help you out with any quesitons you have as you learn DX.
