Does anyone know of a good website or book about analysis of algebraic surfaces? I want to learn about them independent of their relationship to computer graphics. I''m interested in different representations of surfaces, differential geometry, the algebra relating to the surface equations... any links or books would be appreciated.

Pick up a vector calculus book. It covers different coordinate systems and the differentiation of surfaces. Also, I know that Dover puts out a book called Differential Geometry, but I don''t know what sort of a level it is at. Start with vector calculus is the advice I can give you.

I already know how to analyze a surface myself, but I want a book that has surfaces conveniently pre-analyzed for me. I know vector calculus, but I want a book with a lot of different surfaces explained and analyzed.
