Yes, no.
Artificial intelligence is a fine goal for CS. It helps us understand our own intelligence at the same time, plus makes games more fun!
But we should never trust our lives to it. I mean, look at The Matrix! System Shock I and II! PANE (wait, no one knows about that yet...)! Loads of other lessons!
