matlab or mathematica ?
I want to construct 3d models in Matlab or Mathematica, and then render in Max. But I am not sure which is a better choice, Matlab or Mathematica? Thanks!
Thanks!
I googled it, and found Mathematica has more graphics stuffs. But I feel much at home with Matlab. So I want to know if they are equally good at graphics. If so I''ll keep using Matlab.

If you''re at home with Matlab, and there is no feature you''re missing, then you absolutely should keep using Matlab.
If Mathematica has features that you want to use, and you''re willing to (re-)learn, then you might want to switch (if you can afford it).

My problem is that I know little of their performance on graphics. I just googled it.
For this kind of thing, either one will work fine. The only time you really should question whether to use Matlab or Mathematica is when you need a robust mathematics software package for more than just 3D output.

I''d vote for Matlab. I''ve found it easier to use.

I don't know how you guys can afford Matlab (or Mathematica for that matter)... or can you?
