My new computer crap is suppose to arrive today (shipped via fedex). I checked the tracking site and it said that my package was put on a fedex vehical at 2:36 AM for delivery today. Its 4:46 PM and I''m wondering what happened to it Now, I know UPS has this thing where if they don''t deliver the package on the date they said they would, you get your shipping money back. However, I was unable to find any claim on Fedex''s site about this but some friends of mine told the that fedex does do this. Anybody know if that is true? Thanks

No. If they miss a delivery date, they destroy the shipment and all evidence that the shipment ever existed. Most companies who ship via Fed Ex are aware of this but know that if they complain about it, the shipments that they themselves are expecting to receive will disappear in the same way, crippling their business. So they''re forced to join in the denial process.

Fedex doesn''t care about your package unless you are a big business, and they have no problem delivering it several weeks late. At least, thats what the customer service said.

fedex blows.
i ordered a next-day delivery package on a wednesday. It was before noon, which is the cut-off time for next-day delivery.
well, i get home from work thursday and it''s not there. So i call customer service and they said i had to be there to receive it.
I asked why they didn''t just leave it in the mailbox. It was just a stick of RAM, it was small enough.
"We''re not allowed to do that. Only the post office can leave packages in the mailbox."
So I asked if they could just leave it on the porch by the door.
"Ok, I''ll make a note and someone will drop it off tomorrow."
I get home on friday and it''s not there. I start to wonder if someone came along and snatched it. But that''s never happened so I check the tracking.
The tracking says that no one was home to receive it. *sigh*
I call customer service and asked what the deal was.
"We''re not allowed to just leave packages." (they won''t leave a $30 stick of RAM, but they left a $200 digital camera on my porch in november. Go figure)
"The other lady said you could, and that you would."
"Sorry, we can''t do that. We deliver on Saturday, will you be home tomorrow?"
So I wait all day Saturday and it never came.
I called them up on Monday and said I''d come and get it.
Man they really blow.

I''ve never had trouble with Fedex, I''ve received several things from the US while I live in belgium and I''ve seen things arriving in less than 2 days!

When I was shipping out copies of my book to people, the post office had two media-mail options, one which was 10 cents more than the other.

I ask "What''s the difference?"

"With the cheaper one, the shipments are destroyed or discarded immediately if there is an error during shipping."

Oh. I took the one that was 10 cents more.

And then trent was an idiot who tried telling me he didn''t get his anthrax-savers. FOOL! ALWAYS CHECK THE POPCORN!!!
